밤

이동하는 새떼죠. 높은 산맥을 넘을 때는 새들도 운다죠. 울음을 움켜쥔  발가락을 풀지 않고 날겠죠. 누군가 공중을 묻는다면 소리 없는 아우성이라 말할 수도 있겠죠. 새들도 세상을 뜨는구나! 수만 번쯤 읊조리고 나면 새들이 페루에 가서 죽는 이유에 대해 생각하지 않을 수 없죠. 페루에 가면 숲에서 죽을 수 있을까요. 얼마나 많은 발자국을 공중에 버렸을까요. 발가락이 얼마나 빨갛게 얼었을까요. 얼마나 많은 외로움이 뜬눈으로 가라앉았을까요. 여기, 끝이 없이 밤인, 눈을 가린 당신이 있어요. 여길 봐, 어둠 안에 있어. 밤이 와 있어. 밤이 오고 있어. 당신은 눈을 잃은 순한 짐승, 손톱이 길어지는데 끝이 없이 겨울이에요. 거미가 줄을 치는 끝이 없이 자정이에요. 자정이 지나면 겨울이 오고 겨울이 지나면 언제나 잠자고 있는 밤이 남아서, 결코 잠자지 않는 밤이 남겨져서 끝이 없이 단일한 겨울이에요. 얼굴이 지워지는 줄도 모르고 순일한 밤이에요. 새떼들에게로 망명하는, 새가 되는 기분이에요. 누군가 놓아두고 간 우산처럼 우두커니, 돌아누워야 할 차례예요. 찢어진 밤의 부위는 끝없이‘혼자 울어라’예요.

It's a flock of migrating birds. They say even birds cry when they fly over a high mountain-range. They must fly without easing their toes gripping lamentation. If someone should ask about the mid-air you could say it's a voiceless outcry. Even the birds depart from the world! Even after one chants tens of thousands times, one cannot but wonder why birds go to Peru to die. Could they die in the forest if they went to Peru? How many footprints would they have forsaken in the air? How red would the toes have been frozen? How much solitude would have sunk down with open eyes? Here I find you who are an endless night with eyes blind-folded. Look here, you are engulfed in darkness. Night is here. Night is approaching. You are a docile animal who has lost its eyes, you are endlessly winter while your fingernails grow long. You are endless midday while the spider weaves his webs. When midday passes, winter comes. When winter passes, night stays that sleeps all the time. The night that never sleeps remains, and it's winter that's endlessly simple. It's a genuine night that doesn't know that its face is being erased. I feel like going to the flock of birds for asylum and for becoming birds. Vacantly like an umbrella someone has left behind, it's my to turn to roll over in bed. The part of the torn night sounds like "Cry all alone." endlessly.
