벚꽃

벚꽃이 차창 너머에서 한들거린다
흐드러지게 흐드러지게 피어서
어서 오라고 날 보러 오라고 춤을 춘다
가지마다 꽃을 피워 그 사이로 하늘을 보라고
황사에 뒤덮인 마음을 씻고 보라고
톡, 톡, 팝콘처럼 웃는 벚꽃
봄날이 봄날 같지 않아도
흐드러지게 흐드러지게 웃으라고
가지마다 연분홍빛 윙크를 날리며
파안대소하는 봄의 정령, 벚꽃       ―《리토피아》 여름호

Cherry Blossoms

Cherry blossoms waver beyond the car window.
Blooming abundantly and in splendor,
They dance inviting folks to come,
Come and see them.
The cherry blossoms laugh,
Popping and laughing like popcorns,
Advising them to bloom on every bough and look skyward,
Inviting them to cleanse their minds covered with dust, and
To flower on every branch,
To laugh to satiety
Though the spring is unlike spring.
The spring’s fairy, the cherry blossoms
Send soft-pink winks to every branch.
