모감주나무

연초록 꽃대에 황금 불상이 정좌하여 예불을 드린다.

날아오르는 새의 발톱에 찍힌 나무가 파르르 떤다.

가지를 떠나는 부처들이 황금꽃비 되어 내린다.

꽃 진 자리에 청사초롱 꽈리 봉인된 자궁을 단다.

해가 말아 올린 속살에 알알이 초록 사리가 박힌다.

바람이 설레발치다가 뒷발로 꽈리자궁을 걷어찬다.

떼구르르 설익은 염주 한 알이 개똥밭을 구른다.

Goldenrain Tree

The golden Buddha statues in meditation posture offer prayer

on the greenish flower stalks.

The tree, assailed by the claws of the bird just flying away, trembles feebly.

The Buddhas, departing from the branches,

fall as golden flower rain.

In the place where the flower has fallen

The multi-colored ground cherry takes on a sealed womb.

Green sariras jab into the inner flesh the sun has rolled up.

The wind, wagging its tail, kicks the ground cherry's matrix

with its hind legs.

A half-ripe rosary-bead rolls over the fertile field.
