탱자나무집 탱순이·1 

달빛 아래 피어 하얗게 꼬드기는 탱자꽃

멋도 없는 향기에 끌려 덥석 안지 마라.

탱자나무 가시에 찔려 순식간에 기함하리라. 

무 뽑다가 탱자나무 가시에 찔린 총각 일꾼이

무 패대기치고 무밭집 주인 탱순이를 찾아가네.

가시나야 꽃은 한창인데 탱자는 언제 열린다냐.

멍멍멍 아무리 짖어도 탱탱한 탱자꽃은 지지 않네.

혓바닥으로도 꽁지로도 도무지 건드릴 수 없는 꽃.

금년도 떨어지는 탱자는 없으리 하릴없이 달 보고 짖네.

The trifoliate orange blossoms blooming white under the moonlight -

Don't rush to hug them solely because of the vapid scent.

You'll instantly pass out, pricked by the thorns of the orange tree.

hurling down the radish.

My gal, while the flower is in full blossom, 

when will the orange ripen?

Bark and howl as you will, the steadfast orange flower will not fall.

The flower that can't be touched with the flat of tongue or tail.

This year too no orange will drop; 

They merely idly bark at the moon.
